MEET OUR TEAM
Adam Gockley has found himself a niche. With 10 years of child care experience and a degree in small business, he has combined his work experience with his education.
He has been with the company for over 3 years, and has helped to build the program Idea Lab Kids utilizes today. His experience with youth comes from Summer Camps, athletic coaching, and classroom teaching. Following his graduation from Southwestern University, Adam returned to his high school alma mater to teach, coach, and dorm parent a dorm of 50 senior boys. If he can handle that, he can handle just about anything.
Adam continues to learn and grow with the Idea Lab in hopes of creating a program that grows to be nationwide. Adam enjoys the outdoors, Houston sports teams, and cooking.
My name is Amber Diaz, I am the Manager of the Memorial Idea Lab. I moved from Corpus Christi to Houston in 2012 for an internship with the sea lions at Houston Zoo, Inc. I LOVE working with animals, but after the internship ended, I followed another passion… educating children!
I’ve been with Idea Lab since May of 2013. I thoroughly enjoy my job. My favorite part about working with children is watching them solve problems together and individually. Their level of intelligence and creativity never ceases to amaze me.
When I am not working, I am out and about exploring Houston with Bella, my Black Lab.
With the experience I’ve gained at Idea Lab I plan to either work as a teacher or an educator in a zoo or aquarium setting.
I am Mr. Foster Silva, a native Houstonian who is excited to work more within this community. Although Texas is a wonderful place, I spent my college years going to Beloit College in Wisconsin. While there I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Youth Studies with a minor in Museum Studies.has found himself a niche. With 10 years of child care experience and a degree in small business, he has combined his work experience with his education.
Teaching in an informal setting is a passion of mine as it helps culminate a love for learning in all areas of life. My first job was with a summer day camp while I was in high school and since then I have always found a way to work with children.
I have been with the Idea Lab since August of 2014. During the school year I was the English Preschool Teacher at our Memorial location for its year. I also worked at a few of our After School programs around the city the first semester, but became the coordinator of our Bellaire location in February. I am excited to be managing our newly opened Energy Corridor location and cannot wait to see what the summer brings.
I have been working hard to help create curriculum for a few of our camps and I am glad I will finally see those classes come to life!
